AM360 Healthy Aging Programs

A coordinated program for older adults that combines multiple classes focused on physical health, balance, mobility, and overall well-being.

How the Healthy Aging Program Is Structured

The Healthy Aging Program is designed to support overall well-being and quality of life for older adults. It brings together multiple classes and activities tailored to address the physical, balance, and mobility needs commonly associated with aging.

This program reflects the structure of senior wellness programs and coordinated exercise programs for older adults offered at AM360.

Program Focus and Structure

The Healthy Aging Program uses a multi-class approach to support physical health, balance, and daily function. Activities are selected to address strength, flexibility, coordination, and stability.

The program’s design supports ongoing participation in fitness for older adults through structured, instructor-led classes.

Silver Fit Classes Included

The program includes two Silver Fit classes per week. Silver Fit is a group exercise class focused on cardiovascular fitness, flexibility, and strength.

Classes are designed for older adults and use low-impact movements with modifications as needed.

Strength Circuit with Personal Trainer

Once per week, participants attend a strength circuit session led by a personal trainer. This session focuses on improving muscle strength, endurance, and balance.

Exercises may include resistance machines, free weights, or bodyweight movements, with attention to proper form and technique.

Fall Prevention Component

Fall prevention is a dedicated part of the Healthy Aging Program. This portion includes education and practical exercises aimed at improving balance, coordination, and stability.

The program teaches strategies intended to support confidence and safety during everyday activities and incorporates fall prevention exercises for seniors.

Tai Chi Class

The program includes regular Tai Chi classes. Tai Chi is a gentle, low-impact practice that combines slow, flowing movements with deep breathing and mindfulness.

These classes emphasize balance, flexibility, relaxation, and mental well-being.

Chair Yoga Class

Chair yoga is offered as part of the program. This class is performed while sitting or using a chair for support and focuses on gentle stretching, breathing, and relaxation.

Chair yoga supports flexibility, mobility, strength, and aligns with chair yoga for seniors programming.

Balance and Coordination Training

Balance and coordination classes focus on static and dynamic balance exercises. A line of chairs is used for support, and foam pads are incorporated for participants who need additional challenges.

These sessions are led by a Physical Therapist with experience working with individuals of varying abilities and include balance exercises for seniors.

Fall Prevention Program Sessions

The fall prevention program consists of four two-hour sessions led by trained facilitators. These sessions are designed to help older adults reduce fall risk and improve confidence in performing daily activities.
